Our Accredited Energy Assessors use approved SBEM software to predict the thermal and energy performance of a building. Computer models are constructed for a proposed development and incorporate data on building form, orientation, envelope design, building materials, HVAC and lighting systems to predict its performance.

Level 3 software is for existing buildings with common characteristics while level 4 software is used to analyse new and more complex buildings designs that may have air conditioning systems.

Furthermore our Accredited Energy Assessors can produce Level 5 dynamic thermal models for new buildings. This type of modelling is preferred when a building has a more complex design, incorporating atria or specialist building fabric design.
